BHM - PBB Maintenance Tech FT - AM/PM

ERMC is seeking a Passenger Boarding Bridge Technician. Our Bridge Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the services we provide meet high-quality standards set forth by our clients while pursuing a rewarding career in the asset maintenance industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

1. Performing maintenance and repair operations.
2. Assisting with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, and greasing.
3. Other miscellaneous routine maintenance, as needed.
4. Diagnosing equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensuring equipment is running safely.
5. Taking direction and seeking the guidance and expertise of senior-level personnel and accepting their training and mentoring.
6. Reading and interpreting repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor/manager’s instructions.
7. Following and complying with all company and federally established policies and procedures; completing all applicable training courses assigned by the company.
8. Completing forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
9. Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. Able to effectively use relevant material handling equipment.
2. Able to remain on feet for extended periods.
3. Mechanical or electrical experience/knowledge.
4. Maintenance experience, with experience maintaining passenger boarding bridges.
5. Applicants may qualify by a combination of history and knowledge of the above-noted systems.
6. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
7. Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
8. Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
9. Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
10. Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
11. Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
12. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
13. Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
14. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
