ERM is seeking a motivated Project Accountant to join our UK Business Unit and support the finance function with general project accounting duties. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and exciting global environmental leader.

We offer a collaborative environment where you will continuously broaden your exposure and develop a rewarding finance career through working with our consultants and the Finance Team.

Initial 12‑month assignment to cover an internal absence with the possibility of extension or permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project set‑up and budget management.
  • Project reviews and reconciliations of project variances and WIP.
  • Analysis of project costs against budget.
  • Supporting Project Managers with invoicing, AR management, and DSO days.
  • Setting up and managing project trackers in Excel.
  • Ad‑hoc queries and reporting.
  • Providing ongoing training of Project Managers, Partners, and Administrators in the use of GMS and other financial management tools.

The role requires strong, professional, and approachable communication skills and will involve some travel within the UK to other local offices.
