Health and Safety Consultant. Shape safety in the world of TV, film, and live events. Do you want to work behind the scenes of some of the most exciting productions in television, film, and events? What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide timely, professional health and safety advice to clients and production teams.
- Offer on‑site support for a wide range of activities, from studio shoots to high‑risk location work.
- Conduct proactive monitoring and audits of contractors, recommending practical risk‑reduction measures.
- Develop and deliver training programmes to meet client needs.
- Promote awareness and understanding of safety resources and best practice.
- Investigate accidents and produce clear, compliant reports.
- Monitor and audit the effectiveness of risk management systems.
- Keep clients informed of key issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Technical IOSH membership and working towards Certified status (or IIRSM equivalent).
- Confident using Microsoft Office or similar tools.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in a health and safety role (advisor or consultant).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and guidance.
- Ability to balance operational priorities with safety requirements.
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills.
- Able to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions.
- Within reasonable commuting distance of London and surrounding studio hubs.
Desirable
- Experience in TV, film, media, or events.
- Training delivery experience (online and in‑person).
- Fire risk assessment qualification (or working towards IFSM Tier Register).
- Experience managing H&S on construction sites, including construction phase plans and F10 notifications.
