Decarbonisation – Electricity Networks & Energy Systems

Energy networks — particularly electricity transmission and distribution — are critical to delivering Net Zero. Alongside this, energy systems thinking (spanning generation, networks, demand, and markets) is essential to ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably as it decarbonises. Delivering an energy system that is fit to meet the challenges of decarbonisation will require innovative technology, imaginative business models and robust policymaking.

ERM supports clients including electricity network operators, system operators, regulators, policymakers, developers and investors to shape and deliver this transition. We are seeking individuals with strong expertise in electricity networks and markets to join our growing team.

  • Play an active role in business development, including shaping opportunities and winning work

  • Engage clients effectively, acting as a trusted point of contact and communicating complex technical findings clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Drive business development, contributing to and leading proposals, identifying new opportunities, and supporting growth of client relationships
  • Oversee technical analysis, including research, market assessment, and techno-economic modelling, ensuring rigour and consistency
