Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality consultancy service in toxicology risk assessment to clients and to other ERM staff to meet regulatory and business needs.
- Understand clients’ desired outcomes and work collaboratively to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Work closely with clients and respond to specific questions on toxicology.
- Contribute to the commercial growth of the business by supporting senior colleagues in client visits, conferences, expert groups and other business development activities.
- Undertake evaluation and summarisation of toxicology data, risk assessments and study monitoring.
- Stay current with the latest developments in toxicology and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with other ERM technical experts to maintain awareness of projects and common issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to project goals.
- Develop expertise in new EU regulatory developments as required by the business.
- Perform other scientific and administrative tasks as needed to benefit the business.
Requirements
- Degree level education in Biology, Toxicology or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting toxicological risk assessments.
- Working knowledge of relevant EU regulations and guidelines, including EU data requirements for toxicology studies.
- Strong collaborative skills across disciplines.
- Experience in preparing and supporting dossiers using appropriate software.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work that exceeds clients’ expectations.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to Health and Safety protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to listen, organise and prioritise.
- Proficiency in toxicological statistical analysis software is desirable.
- Experience with contract research organisations (CROs) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with non-EU regulatory requirements (Latin America, North America, APAC) is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
