ESG Assurance Assessor (Assessor Level)

ERM Certification and Verification Services (ERM CVS) , a rapidly growing global Business Unit within ERM Group, is seeking a motivated Assurance Assessor to lead assurance engagements with multinational clients across various sectors. As the business community emphasizes climate and sustainability commitments, the need for third-party verified data has increased. We are looking to add an enthusiastic ESG Assurance Assessor to our EMEA/NA-based Corporate Assurance team. The successful candidate will provide third-party assurance of GHG/ESG information for multinational clients across diverse sectors. Applicants should have at least a degree in a sustainability or audit-related field, with 2-4 years of experience or understanding of assurance principles, GHG/ESG data, and knowledge of climate change and sustainability reporting. Strong data analytics skills, especially in Excel, are required. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Project Managers in delivering assurance of GHG/ESG data. Perform assurance procedures, including media research, data review, evidence collection, site visits, and disclosure review. Maintain documentation in line with standards and quality requirements. Assist senior colleagues during client visits and potentially lead assurance activities under supervision. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Proven data analysis skills, particularly in Excel, and strong communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and support junior staff. Willingness to learn, team-oriented, self-motivated, and interested in sustainability issues. Willing to travel for client visits, sometimes on short notice. Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI, GHG Protocol, TCFD, SDGs). Experience with assurance standards for sustainability reporting (e.g., ISAE standards, ISO14064). Understanding of environmental impacts, climate change, and GHG emissions. Client-facing experience and relationship management skills.
