ERM is a leading global sustainability consultancy, established over 50 years ago with the goal of helping the world’s leading organisations build a sustainable future. With over 8,000 people across offices worldwide and expertise spanning all areas of sustainability, we support clients to deliver meaningful change and long‑term value.
About The Low Carbon Solutions Team
ERM’s Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) team includes over 100 experts in sustainable energy, working across areas such as energy networks, smart systems, low carbon buildings, transport, hydrogen, fuels, chemicals, energy policy, sustainability assessment, and innovation.
As the urgency of the energy transition continues to grow, we are seeing increasing demand from organisations seeking to understand their role and respond effectively. Our team works at the forefront of this transition, advising network operators, governments, developers, investors and corporates on how to deliver and operate low carbon energy systems.
Decarbonisation – Electricity Networks & Energy Systems
Energy networks — particularly electricity transmission and distribution — are critical to delivering Net Zero. Alongside this, energy systems thinking (spanning generation, networks, demand, and markets) is essential to ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably as it decarbonises.
Delivering an energy system that is fit to meet the challenges of decarbonisation will require innovative technology, imaginative business models and robust policymaking.
ERM supports clients including electricity network operators, system operators, regulators, policymakers, developers and investors to shape and deliver this transition. We are seeking individuals with strong expertise in electricity networks and markets to join our growing team.
