As Head of Engineering & Architecture, you will serve as ERM's chief architecture leader, partnering closely with the CIO and senior business stakeholders to shape the future technology landscape while delivering measurable business value across the enterprise.

  • Lead and mentor a global team of Technical, Solution, Platform, and Data Architects.

  • Establish architectural standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps across the enterprise.
  • Shape cloud, platform, and application modernization initiatives that improve efficiency and organizational agility.
  • Optimize technology investments through platform rationalization, portfolio management, and strategic planning.
  • Influence critical business and technology decisions through trusted executive-level advisory.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Build architecture capabilities that accelerate delivery while maintaining security, resilience, and scalability.

Required

  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience across multiple technology domains.
  • Significant experience leading enterprise architecture teams within complex, global organizations.
  • Proven ability to align business strategy with technology roadmaps and architectural planning.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance models.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, platform modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in architecture design principles, patterns, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success advising senior executives and business leaders on strategic technology decisions.
  • Experience driving application portfolio optimization, technology rationalization, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through change and drive organizational transformation.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development experience.

Preferred

  • Experience across business applications, software engineering, infrastructure, digital platforms, or data architecture.
  • Knowledge of modern development technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, Node.js, Angular, React, or related frameworks.
  • Experience building scalable microservices and API-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platform optimization and cloud transformation programs.
  • Experience supporting post-merger technology integration and platform consolidation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale security, governance, and risk management practices.
  • Active participation in technology communities and industry thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead ERM's global Enterprise Architecture function and establish the long-term architectural vision for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide technology strategies, architecture frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology investment decisions.
  • Guide solution architecture decisions across business applications, platforms, data, infrastructure, and cloud services.
  • Lead enterprise-wide application and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Drive cloud optimization strategies that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and business value.
  • Oversee architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Define roadmaps for technology transformation and capability development.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and evaluate opportunities to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Support talent acquisition, workforce planning, and succession development within the architecture function.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, security, and business teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
  • Track and measure business outcomes generated through architecture-led initiatives and technology investments.
