Overview
In this Senior Consultant role, you will lead industrial water and wastewater projects, delivering water efficiency assessments, audits, and maturity reviews for clients across manufacturing, pharma, mining, and metals. You’ll evaluate treatment options, support due diligence, and mentor junior staff, contributing to proposals and technical methodologies. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate data into practical, defensible recommendations that support mining and legacy-site water management. This role offers impact through shaping water stewardship strategies for diverse industries.
Responsibilities
- Deliver water efficiency, reduction, and maturity assessments for multiple industry sectors
- Perform desktop data reviews, site audits, and opportunity calculations to identify savings
- Review water/wastewater treatment systems and regulatory drivers with improvement options
- Support technology due diligence and benchmarking for treatment solutions
- Prepare client-ready technical reports and business-case inputs
- Contribute to mining and legacy-site water management projects including data review and risk assessment
- Assist in proposals, methodologies, and technical approaches for water efficiency and stewardship
- Coordinate fieldwork with site teams and multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor junior colleagues on data review, site audits, calculations, and technical writing
Key requirements
- Relevant professional experience in water, wastewater, environmental engineering, or related field
- Strong grounding in water/wastewater management and industrial water use and treatment
- Experience with water reduction assessments, audits, or maturity assessments
- Ability to interpret operational water data, identify anomalies, and translate findings into practical recommendations
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, food & beverage, manufacturing, mining/metals, or water utilities sectors
- Strong report writing, data interpretation, and client communication skills
- Ability to work independently on technical workstreams while contributing to multidisciplinary teams
