An established and growing client of mine are looking to expand their Embedded Development team, by bringing in an experienced Embedded Software Engineer. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of innovative systems and software used within the manufacturing sector.

As a Junior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be joining an established team that develop reliable, well-documented, and supportable systems. You will have a support network of Engineers that you can learn from and shadow, helping you progress your career and technical skill set. This role will be based on-site near Chesterfield to encourage collaboration and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and support embedded software
  • System Testing
  • New Product Development
  • Product maintenance and improvement
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation

Requirements:

  • Relevant education in Software Engineering, Electronics etc.
  • Experience programming with C, C++, or similar low-level languages
  • Microcontrollers
  • Embedded systems and hardware knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Desirable: Linux, control systems, Real Time Operating Systems, Testing, communication protocols

Effectively, this role is responsible for contributing to the design and support of world-class products alongside the relevant teams. The business offers comprehensive on-the-job training and continuous professional development.
