Overview
In this role you will lead the technical delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications, focusing on Java, Spring Boot and TypeScript. You’ll shape development practices, drive efficiency and release quality, and introduce new technologies. You will own the roadmap and collaborate with global teams to align solutions with business needs. The position offers remote work with occasional visits to North Yorkshire in a growing global business with a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities
- Provide effective technical leadership and drive development efficiency and release quality
- Introduce new technologies and approaches to improve solutions
- Own and help shape the technical roadmap in collaboration with architecture teams
- Coordinate with external developers and internal IT teams to drive technology decisions
- Act as Solution Owner to ensure solutions meet business needs and project momentum
- Work on systems that involve real-time data and enterprise-scale integration
Key requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Java and Spring Boot
- TypeScript
- Full stack development and systems integration background
- REST APIs
- PostgreSQL or similar databases
- Manage containerised deployments – Docker
- DevOps practices / CI/CD pipelines
- Desirable: ERP Integrations, IoT Platforms, Telematics systems, Azure, Real-time data, event-driven architecture
- Relevant professional certifications and education would be desirable
