Mechanical Technician North Yorkshire

A global market-leader with annual revenues of almost $1bn are looking to grow their Mechanical Engineering team by bringing in a number of new Mechanical Technicians to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with several years experience that is looking for a new challenge within a business that produces a number of exciting products.
As a Mechanical Technician, you will help design, install, develop, and manufacture various systems and vehicles. You also test these devices, record and analyse data, and report your findings. You will manufacture and test hydraulic hoses and pipe work as well as assemble, proof pressure, setup and test a wide range of subassemblies and tooling. This is alongside completing all necessary documentation and carrying out workshop maintenance as required.
This role will be on site in Kirkbymoorside.
Package:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities with time and a half and double time pay
  • 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
  • 5% pension, Private healthcare, life insurance

Requirements:

  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings and follow test specifications.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hand and power tool experience
  • Risk assessments
  • Automotive background would be preferable

Effectively, this role is responsible for contributing to the manufacture of world-class products alongside the relevant teams.
