Job Description

IT Support Engineer – Huddersfield£30,000 – £35,000 plus excellent benefitsAn experienced IT Support Engineer is needed for a rapidly growing business based in Huddersfield. Joining a small but growing team, you will be responsible for ensuring that IT systems, devices, and people stay connected and secure. You will provide day-to-day support, manage devices and licences whilst also improve IT systems.As the focal point for all things IT Support, your role will involve providing clear and concise support to users with varying levels of technical experience. You will help maintain a secure and compliant IT environment as well as supporting new starters and existing team members with IT onboarding and training.As an experienced IT Support Engineer, you will have the chance to take ownership of systems and influence how things are done and what tech is used. As a business that prioritises employee well-being, you be joining a team that values your input and initiative and can provide ongoing opportunities to learn and grow.This role will initially be primarily on-site in Huddersfield due to the nature of the work.Package:
  • £30,000 – £35,000 – Dependent on experience. If you think you would be a great fit but have different expectations, get in touch!
  • 22 days holiday – plus bank holidays (rising with service) as well as the option to buy and sell 5 more days.

Required:

  • Proven track record of success in a similar IT support role, ideally working for an SME
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS.
  • Understanding of IT Security
  • Understanding of networking principles e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Highly organised and comfortable prioritising workload.
  • Relevant certifications e.g. CompTIA A+, MCSA would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
