Are you an experienced Software Developer with a history of working with Lab VIEW?

If the answer is yes, then we have an incredibly exciting opportunity for you.

An established and growing client of mine are looking to expand their Embedded Development team, with a Lab VIEW Engineer who thrives on solving technical challenges.

In your role as Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automated test software using Lab VIEW for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and testing platforms.

You will develop reusable software components and automation frameworks to improve reliability and efficiency.

Whilst working closely with hardware engineers to integrate software with custom test electronics.

You will be an experienced troubleshooter who will maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring stability and performance.

This role will be on site in Heanor, Derbyshire. Should you wish to discuss flexibility, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing in Lab VIEW
  • UI design, modular programming, and real-time system control.
  • Communication protocol knowledge (e. g., CAN, LIN) and experience interfacing with control modules.
  • Experience delivering robust, integrated test systems.
  • Understanding of Test automation, version control systems and software best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Automotive or embedded environment experience would be beneficial

Effectively, this role is responsible for contributing to the design and support of world-class products alongside the relevant teams.
