An established and growing client of ours are expanding their Engineering team by hiring an experienced Compliance Engineer, who will lead compliance activities for the business. This will be a varied role, interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into clear, practical engineering and product requirements whilst also supporting engineering and leadership teams with compliance guidance.

As a Compliance Engineer, you will review engineering designs and documentation for compliance with applicable regulations and standards. You will help the organisation enhance its compliance framework in order for their products to be used in heavily regulated sectors. You will identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions whilst identifying areas for improvement.

The organisation are part of a large multi-national group with thousands of employees worldwide. This role will be based on-site near Chesterfield to encourage collaboration and in-person interactions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as either a Compliance Engineer, Regulatory Engineer or Standards Engineer
  • Industrial product compliance experience (either safety, regulatory, or cyber)
  • Experience applying standards and regulations in a practical setting
  • Understanding of relevant frameworks and quality systems such as ISO9001, Cyber Resilience Act, Machinery regulation etc.
  • Ability to work alongside relevant teams
  • Strong documentation and audit preparation experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing / Engineering industries
