Automation Engineer - Blackpool £38k + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Automation Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation focused on driving digital transformation and business process improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work across the business, delivering automation solutions, system integrations, and AI-enabled technologies that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes. Key Responsibilities Build, maintain, and support automated workflows to streamline business processes across internal systems. Configure and manage data integrations using APIs, connectors, and file-based processes. Utilise AI-enabled technologies to improve workflows and business efficiency. Identify opportunities to automate existing business processes and implement practical automation solutions. Develop and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and data outputs to support business operations and decision-making. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot existing automations to ensure reliability and data accuracy. Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and deliver automation improvements. Liaise with third-party suppliers where required to support integrations and system functionality. Maintain accurate technical documentation while following established change control and data security procedures.Skills & Experience Practical experience developing automation solutions using workflows, scripting, RPA, or automation platforms. Experience working with business data, reporting tools, SQL databases, or dashboards. Good understanding of system integrations using APIs, connectors, and file-based data exchanges. Experience using AI-enabled business tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform AI capabilities, or document processing solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
