A global market‑leader with annual revenues of almost $1bn is looking to grow its Electrical Engineering team. In this role, you will manage design projects from conception through detailed design to manufacturing handover. You will provide design input on projects and offer new ideas for developments and new products.
Responsibilities:
- Produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation to ISO 9001 whilst assisting in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
- Provide customer support and off‑site engineering support for new products.
- Work effectively on your own or as part of a multi‑discipline team.
- Deliver design input on projects and provide new ideas for product development.
Technical Requirements:
- Sound engineering knowledge.
- Technical drawing competence.
- Design of electrical power systems.
- Knowledge of electric motor types, designs and specifications.
- Power distribution and protection equipment.
- Understanding of communication systems and protocols.
- PCB design.
- Variable speed drives and soft‑starts.
- Wiring distribution systems.
- PCB manufacturing and standards.
Package:
- 37 hours per week with flexi‑time opportunities.
- Overtime opportunities.
- 25 days holidays plus bank holidays.
- 5% pension, private healthcare, life insurance.
