We specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of industrial hose assemblies and fittings, tailored to meet the demands of a wide range of sectors from food and beverage to chemical processing, manufacturing, and energy. About the Role:

  • Planning: Assess opportunities, trends, and customer needs across the strategically targeted industries. Work towards achieving agreed annual revenue and margin goals for an agreed group of customers, maintaining a sales pipeline, regularly tracking progress.
  • Sales Development: Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with potential clients. Develop a deep understanding of ERIKS products and their applications. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions by leveraging the company's product portfolio. Serve as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on product specifications, performance, and application. Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to customise product offerings for specific client requirements. Bespoke solutions should be triaged, expending technical resource only where success is likely to contribute significant profitable revenue, without exposing ERIKS to unnecessary enterprise risk. Prepare and present detailed proposals containing both features and benefits, plus value delivered by the product and commercial solution.
  • Relationship Management: Lead contractual negotiations and ensure the terms align with company objectives. With the support of Internal Sales teams, manage and nurture existing client relationships to drive repeat business and customer loyalty. Review customer revenue and service levels against contractual terms, ERIKS and client expectations. Ensure appropriate pricing strategies are employed, factoring in cost, margins, and market conditions.
  • Utilise management information systems (Pipeline, PowerBI & CRM) to manage leads, track sales activities, and maintain customer records.

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, business administration, or in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in business development or sales within the mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
  • Proven track record of selling products or solutions to OEMs or EPC customers, with a deep understanding of the sales process in these markets.
  • Experience with large-scale projects, negotiations, and technical product solutions.
  • Ability to close deals, develop long-term relationships, and handle objections effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to sales.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering products, their applications, and their relevance.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • A proactive, collaborative team player who can work well with diverse stakeholders.
