Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a major infrastructure project in the Reading area. This is a 6-month contract offering an exciting opportunity to work on one of the most complex and challenging projects in the UK today.
In this role, you will lead and manage commissioning activities for specialist equipment, building services, and control systems. You will ensure safe and efficient delivery of commissioning work packages, oversee supplier documentation, and integrate test requirements into project schedules.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commissioning large facilities, preferably within defence or similar technical sectors. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage complex schedules and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on safety requirements for commissioning activities
- Manage and deliver commissioning work packages
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies and schedules
- Oversee supplier documentation and testing (FAT/SAT)
- Coordinate commissioning with installation and completion works
- Prepare progress reports and chair stakeholder reviews
