Contract Manufacturing Engineering Process Engineer
Location: Flintshire
Type: Full-Time onsite, Inside IR35 12 month contract
About the Role: Join a dynamic manufacturing engineering team and play a crucial role in the industrialisation of aircraft production. As a Manufacturing Engineering Process Engineer, you will work within a multifunctional team to ensure seamless integration of design into production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate design intent into technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, test, and certification.
- Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business needs.
- Deliver detailed work preparation definitions (routings, BOMs, SOIs, STV calculations) for aircraft production.
- Ensure all work and documentation comply with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Project manage manufacturing process improvements, including implementation strategies.
- Evaluate and enhance manufacturing process capacity, recommending design changes as needed.
- Provide electrical/mechanical shopfloor support to operations, supply chain, and Final Assembly Lines.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of lean principles.
- Familiarity with business management tools such as SAP, DPDS/PASS, PDM link systems.
- Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines.
- Demonstrable practical experience in an aerospace manufacturing engineering environment.
- Experienced knowledge of aircraft production and engineering methods.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
