Our Exciting Opportunity!
We seek to hire a Learning Platforms and Automation intern who can work with our learning, external recruitment and career mobility platforms. All of our digital learning is surfaced and accessible to Ericsson employees through Degreed but this relies on the learning suppliers integrating their content with Degreed using file transfer protocols and APIs. All our internal job opportunities and some project opportunities are made available through our Career Hub. Whilst this uses cloud based software there are a number of enhancements that we can manage internally and this position is to help with the improvements to this platform.
For both platforms you will work closely with the product managers. Be prepared to collaborate with external suppliers, other members of the learning and people digital solutions team as well as the Ericsson IT team. Our goal here is to create an easy and intuitive employee experience for all 100K employees in Ericsson.
You will:
• Support on solving operational issues, testing fixes and / or managing the requirement towards the external supplier
• Plan and implement improvements from simple no code enhancements through to more complex solutions involving APIs.
• Demo and support on the implementation of new functionality ensuring a smooth implementation within Ericsson.
• Plan and implement integration identifying the best method, exploring key issues and ultimately managing the implementation.
• Implement short term “work around” solutions utilising tools such as Microsoft powerapps.
• Develop automations using existing solutions but also adding new solutions.
• Input to the overall systems architecture to deliver an effective end to end experience for people in Ericsson.
To be successful in the role you must have:
• Systems integration knowledge and experience so can clearly appreciate what is possible when integrating platforms.
• Strong programming skills including coding experience in the use of system automations.
• Self-organisation and ability to plan projects.
• Essential to have strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple partners.
• Flexibility, independence and initiative to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Innovative, resourceful, collaborative spirit.
• Graduated from a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar course.
This is a hybrid role with the position requiring the person to work 3 days in Reading and 2 days from home.
