We are recruiting a full-time Mobile Cleaning Operative to work across the Greater Manchester area, providing absence and holiday cover, and maintaining cleaning standards at various sites. A valid full driving licence is essential as travel between sites is required.
The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekend work on a rota. Our sites are located in Preston, Chorley, Blackpool, Manchester, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Traveling to sites to perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, litter disposal, polishing, and dusting, using powered equipment where appropriate.
- Moving furniture as needed.
- Ensuring all duties comply with health and safety regulations and legal requirements.
- Assisting in other establishments during staff absences.
- Responding to incidents such as accidents, fires, thefts, or damage, and completing reports.
- Attending meetings as required.
- Adapting duties based on staffing needs.
- Developing skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Following company policies and procedures at all times.
Previous experience in a similar role, excellent customer service skills, and a valid driving licence are required. A company van and mobile phone are provided.
Please note: The role is subject to a standard DBS check. The typical schedule is two shifts per day, Monday to Friday, between 6am-12pm and 4pm-9pm, with weekend shifts on a rota, notified in advance.
