We are looking to recruit a detail focused Bid Writer to join our existing bid team within the Construction business. Reporting to the Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to work for an awarding winning company, that provides a first-class service to its clients. In this key role, you will produce high‑quality, compelling bid content that clearly articulates developed win themes and supports the submission of outstanding tenders across public and private construction sectors.

With a proactive mindset and a passion for quality submissions, you’ll play a key role in helping us secure new business and strengthen our market position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the bid process with confidence, expertly interpreting requirements, managing timelines, and ensuring every submission is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • Bring energy and insight to bid strategy, actively contributing to kick‑off meetings and reviews, helping shape compelling win themes that set us apart from the competition.
  • Conduct in-depth research, developing a strong understanding of each client, sector, and procurement route, while applying knowledge of the Construction Playbook and current public procurement guidance to strengthen submissions.
  • Craft persuasive, high‑impact content, producing clear, original, and tailored responses for PQQs, tenders, and frameworks that showcase our strengths and value.
  • Champion compliance and best practice, ensuring all submissions align with the Procurement Act 2023, reflecting transparency, integrity, and robust tendering standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Solid experience in bid writing role and the construction sector.
  • Experience of construction frameworks e.g. NWCH, Pagabo, Procure Partnerships and public sector bids is very desirable.
  • Working knowledge of the Construction Playbook and its relevance to public sector construction procurement, bid strategy and value‑based submissions.
  • Strong organisational capability with the ability to prioritise multiple concurrent tenders and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, research and writing skills across own work and with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and AI software (Copilot, Claude).
