A rapidly expanding property development company specialising in the construction of high-end bespoke luxury new homes has an urgent requirement for an experienced Technical Manager to join their team located in central Romsey. This is an exciting opportunity to create your own systems and processes within a maturing business, working alongside fellow managers within other departments to ensure a collaborative company structure can be formed.
The Role
My client is seeking a dynamic and detail-focused technical professional from within the Property Development and New Build industry to join their team in an important role as part of their continued growth. They specialise in the construction of extremely luxurious and bespoke high-end dwellings, so previous experience with such properties would be considered an advantage. The position is ideally of a permanent full-time nature, but my client is very happy to consider professionals who may be looking for slightly reduced hours.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordination of planning drawings & associated planning conditions
- Control the flow of information to and from the Design Team consisting of Architects, Structural and Civil Engineers, M&E designers, and the like
- Building regulations/Warranty provider Services / Utility providers
- SAP/Overheating Specification writing
- Approval of external designs such as Stairs, Roof trusses, etc
- CDM
Key Skills & Experience
- Adaptability: flexible & capable of changing requirements
- Experienced in the design of high-end new build homes
- Qualified to minimum HNC in building or NVQ Level 5 in a relevant subject
- Autocad Proficient
- Detailed experience of building regulations process
- Ability to solve problems and resolve issues effectively
- Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
- Ability to manage and deal with conflict
- An all-round appreciation of the legal process and laws pertaining to the construction industry
