Rapidly expanding property development company have an urgent requirement for an experienced Labourer with a Fork Lift licence to join their construction team based in the Romsey area.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 5 years experience working within the Construction / Property Development / New Homes arena as a Fork Lift focused labourer.

The Role

My client are looking for a reliable, hard working and safety-focused Construction Forklift Truck Driver to join their busy site construction team working on a stunning luxury homes development in the Romsey area.

Unlike a standard warehouse environment, this role operates directly on an active construction site. You will be responsible for safely moving heavy building materials, loading and unloading delivery lorries, and ensuring our ground teams and tradesmen have the inventory they need exactly when they need it.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Safely operate telescopic handlers or heavy-duty rough terrain forklifts across uneven site ground.

Loading & Unloading: Unload incoming delivery vehicles, check goods against manifests, and safely distribute materials (bricks, timber, steel, pallets) to designated storage or work zones.

Safety & Maintenance: Conduct required pre-shift vehicle maintenance checks, report mechanical faults immediately, and maintain an accurate log.

Site Support: Work closely with the Site Manager, logistics team, and subcontractors to manage space and keep the site clear, orderly, and hazard-free.

Lifting Plans: Strictly adhere to site lifting plans, weight restrictions, and health and safety compliance regulations at all times

Experience

Valid Tickets: A valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS card for Telescopic Handler (Telehandler) is essential.

Experience: Proven experience operating a forklift within a fast-paced construction site environment.

Safety Conscious: A flawless safety record with a thorough understanding of on-site risks and blind spots.

Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and capable of working effectively under pressure alongside busy site trades.
