Role Purpose
The Onboarding Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and controlled delivery of EUSL's onboarding to Group technology services and operating arrangements. Acting as the primary local delivery interface between EUSL and stakeholders across ERGO and Munich Re Group, the role will translate Group onboarding requirements into an executable local plan with clear milestones, priorities, decision points and accountable owners.
The role will coordinate EUSL business, IT and enabling functions throughout delivery; maintain the local plan, RAID, dependencies, decisions, resources and evidence; and ensure timely inputs across all workstreams. It will provide concise executive reporting directly to the Head of IT and Operations and expedite material risks, issues, costs, constraints and decisions without delay through the appropriate EUSL and Group governance routes.
Working closely with the Lead of IT Delivery and Strategy, the Project Manager will integrate the onboarding activity into the wider EUSL delivery roadmap and manage dependencies, sequencing and resource conflicts.
They will not replace accountable owners but will provide hands-on coordination where SME capacity is constrained, personally close documentation gaps, and lead business readiness through testing, migration, communications, training, hypercare and operational acceptance.
People Leadership and Matrix Working
The role has no direct line management responsibility but carries significant matrix leadership accountability. The postholder will lead cross-functional delivery teams, influence senior stakeholders across EUSL, ERGO and Munich Re Group, and establish clear ownership and accountability across workstreams. They will be expected to challenge constructively, secure timely decisions and maintain delivery momentum where resources remain functionally managed within existing teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the EUSL onboarding plan, scope, milestones, actions, dependencies, resources, readiness and acceptance criteria, aligned to the Group plan and wider EUSL delivery roadmap.
- Lead local discovery, remediation, implementation, migration, transition and closure, acting as the primary EUSL interface to the relevant Group onboarding teams and workstreams.

- Mobilise business owners, IT teams, SMEs, workstream leads and sponsors; coordinate requirements, evidence, testing, approvals and decisions.
- Track SME capacity, costs, procurement, contracts and vendor dependencies, escalating conflicts with clear impacts, options and decisions required.
- Provide concise, decision-focused executive reporting directly to the Head of IT and Operations, covering progress, risks, dependencies, resources, costs and decisions; elevate urgent or material matters without delay.
- Identify documentation gaps and personally draft, maintain and quality-assure the programme, technical, operational, governance, testing, transition and BAU artefacts required for delivery.
- Lead workshops and EUSL readiness, including validation, UAT, migration waves, device rollout, communications, training, support and hypercare.
- Secure operational acceptance, complete BAU handover, track residual actions and capture lessons learned.
