Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality financial and management reporting, including monthly accounts, variance analysis, dashboards, and audit information.
- Support annual budgeting and in‑year forecasting with Finance Business Partners.
- Analyse KPIs, trends, and performance drivers to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners to interpret results, develop financial models, and support ROI analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting, forecasting accuracy, and overall efficiency.
- Provide cover for core finance tasks during absence periods (e.g., payments, journals, project updates).
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of financial systems and workflows.
- Support ad‑hoc projects and duties as required by the Finance Director.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of finance policies and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
- Uphold organisational values and adhere to equality, diversity, and inclusion standards.
Qualifications
- Proven strong management accounts experience
- Pro‑active, problem‑solving, solutions‑focused mindset
- Confidence to influence and constructively challenge
- Desire to improve processes and performance
- Part or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
