We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to build next-generation SaaS platform capabilities for a tech-enabled business serving enterprise clients across the UK. This is a permanent role offering £60k, 35-hour working week, and 6 weeks holiday.

About the opportunity

Our client develops mission-critical case management software used by large organisations for investigation and workflow processes. Their flagship platform is replacing legacy systems and already serves live enterprise customers. You’ll join an established engineering team working on highly configurable SaaS architecture. The role splits 50/50 between backend C#/.NET development and React-based frontend tooling.

What you’ll actually do:

  • Build robust backend functionality using modern .NET frameworks
  • Develop React modules for internal configuration tooling and modernise MVC components
  • Enhance workflow capabilities, support Azure deployments, and participate in sprint ceremonies and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Unlike traditional frontend roles, you won’t build static customer screens – instead you’ll create the underlying frameworks used internally to configure client solutions.

What we need:

  • 5+ years commercial C#/.NET experience
  • SQL Server and cloud experience (Azure/AWS)
  • Agile team collaboration skills
  • Ownership mindset for technical solutions

The package:

Based in Nottinghamshire with hybrid working (2 days onsite). The business offers genuine work-life balance with a 35-hour week, exceptional holiday allowance, and flexible culture supporting training and certifications. Strong leadership team investing heavily in modern engineering practices and AI-enabled functionality.

How to prepare for a job interview at erg group

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If erg group uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
