We are partnering with an established, specialist software business that has been at the centre of their industry for nearly four decades. This is business-critical software used daily by some of the most significant operators in the sector.

The business is growing. They currently deliver around four software implementations per year. The goal is a genuinely good time to join.

This is an end-to-end implementation lead position — not a project coordinator role and not a support function. You will own the full delivery lifecycle for each client implementation, from initial scoping through configuration, training and go-live. You will be the primary point of contact for clients during implementation and will work closely with the internal development team to shape how the product fits each customer's operation.

There is a real process improvement mandate here. The business needs someone who can look at how implementations run today and help build something more efficient and scalable — the kind of thinking that gets you from four projects a year to seven without adding headcount for its own sake.

There is a clear career path to Head of Implementation for the right person. That is not a vague promise. The business is structured so this role leads that function, and growth in implementation volume directly creates the conditions for that progression.

What you will do

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of software implementations from contract to go-live
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout each project, managing expectations and relationships
• Work with the development team to configure and tailor the platform to client-specific workflows
• Deliver training to client teams and support adoption through the transition period
• Identify and drive improvements to implementation methodology and internal processes
• Manage multiple concurrent projects independently

What you will bring

• Background with ERP-type systems — Sage, Oracle, SAP or similar; fuel or logistics sector experience is useful but not essential
• Solid project management skills with a track record of complex, client-facing delivery
• Strong communication and relationship management skills — you will deal with senior stakeholders on both sides
• Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
