We’re hiring a QA / Test Automation Engineer to own and transform the testing function inside a growing SaaS business. This is a permanent role for someone with a genuine automation-first mindset — not aspiration, real hands‑on delivery.

Our client builds and hosts a complex, transaction‑heavy digital platform used by businesses across the UK. Think invoicing, payments, integrations – processes where quality genuinely matters.
The Tech
- Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber
- Azure and containerised deployment
- VB6 legacy applications
- REST API and CRM integration
Responsibilities
- Own QA delivery across monthly release cycles.
- Drive the shift from 70% manual testing toward automation‑led coverage.
- Lead regression testing and risk‑based test planning.
- Solve real legacy automation challenges – VB6 forms‑based testing that pushes technical boundaries.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern frameworks – Playwright, Selenium, TestSigma or similar.
- Coding ability in .NET, C# or Java.
- Experience testing complex transactional business processes.
- Self‑directed learner – no waiting to be spoon‑fed.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB certification
- SQL for test data
- Azure/DevOps experience
- VB6 experience
