Erewash Health Partnership are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Operations Manager for our North Hub. The post holder will work with the practices to facilitate closer working and to ensure the smooth running of new and existing services, as well as monitoring and helping to achieve delivery of key performance targets.
The post-holder must have excellent communication skills and be able to develop trusted relationships with our practices to ensure we continue to deliver the best standards of care to patients. Please note - we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
- The key requirements of the role will be to work with the practices to help achieve closer working as well as ensuring the smooth running of services, monitoring and achieving delivery of key performance targets.
- The postholder will have responsibility for ensuring PCN-wide clinical services are delivered such as the On Day Service, Mental Health Services, First Contact Practitioner and Enhanced/Extended Access Hours.
- The post holder will line manage administrative and clinical staff who are involved in scheduling clinics and delivering the services.
- The postholder will be responsible for responding to any complaints submitted.
- A key part of the role is to deliver our vision and objectives, to deliver high quality, reliable and efficient services in a well-organised way supporting freedom to choose, accepting responsibility, and caring for our patients.

About us
Erewash Health Partnership (EHP) was established on 1 April 2018 and is a single GP Partnership comprising of seven constituent practices. EHP employs approximately 240 people who work within the constituent practices and central team, supporting services delivered across Erewash Primary Care Network, a PCN of 11 practices serving over 100,000 patients.
Location: Primarily Littlewick Medical Centre, although the post holder may be required to work at any establishment at any time throughout the duration of their employment, normally within the location of north Erewash.
Job responsibilities
- Providing support to the North GP Practices to ensure they can easily refer to services.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of our North PCN Services.
- Identify any operational problems occurring in services and highlight them to the Chief Operating Officer with a suggestion for resolution where appropriate.
- To be the lead delivery manager on agreed services, creating and supporting the development and reviewing of plans to improve services and create new services.
- Ensure that administrative systems and processes are in place to best support members to deliver services to an excellent standard.
- Develop and communicate process changes in services to both clinical and administrative staff.
- Leading change and continuous improvement, co-ordinate within the practices to deliver the EHP vision.
- Manage and monitor changes to administrative systems and communicate where these changes may affect services.
- Identify any operational problems occurring in services, create solutions and resolve the issues.
Communication
- Develop communication strategies to promote key services to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate any changes to existing services to the relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate with the Chief Operating Officer and Practice Managers regularly with updates, demand and capacity of services.
Training and Development
- Ensuring all staff members involved receive adequate training to support them in their role i.e. SystmOne training.
- Sharing learning from previous incidents with clinical and non-clinical staff.
- At all times the post holder is to behave in a professional way that encourages quality care, the development of a team spirit and fosters continual improvement across the PCN.
