Team Location: Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 1HU

Work arrangement: Hybrid; office attendance required 2–3 days each week.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing generalist HR support, including advising managers on employee relations matters and supporting sickness absence management, recruitment, onboarding, and policy development.
  • Coordinating learning and development activity, identifying training needs, sourcing solutions, and maintaining a training plan.
  • Working with managers and external providers to deliver high‑quality development opportunities.
  • Managing and optimising the Learning Management System, ensuring an engaging user experience and accurate training records.
  • Evaluating training effectiveness and using data to drive continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a generalist HR role providing advice and support.
  • Experience coordinating training or learning and development activity.
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • An HR qualification (CIPD Level 7) or significant relevant experience.
