Overview
Erewash Borough Council is seeking a Building Control Support Officer to join our Building Control team during an exciting period of transformation. As we implement new systems and processes, your role will be vital in delivering high-quality administrative support that keeps our service running smoothly.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Respond to building control enquiries using approved guidance
- Register applications and raise invoices accurately
- Maintain and process records for site inspections
- Produce reports using standard templates
- Support Building Control Surveyors with administrative tasks
- Measure and check submitted plans against set criteria
- Liaise with agents, architects, and other stakeholders
- Upload and manage documents in digital systems
- Handle telephone and email queries professionally
- Ensure financial processes are followed correctly
You will work with Microsoft Office and our Corporate Database System daily and help us transition to a new digital platform – so being tech-savvy and open to change is key.
