One of the UK\’s leading national children\’s charities are seeking a Workshop Delivery and Development Manager to join their dedicated, experienced and growing team of professionals as they embark on a journey of expansion in Keele, Newcastle under Lyme. This is a full-time role based in state-of-the-art facilities and there is an informal homeworking option arrangements available of up to 40% of working week, after passing probation.

About the role

Our client is currently seeking an enthusiastic person for the role of Workshop Delivery and Development Manager to support the development and delivery of workshops to families, education, health, and social care staff. This will involve supporting the collation of information and the design and delivery of on-line training and face to face workshops at their purpose-built premises in the grounds of Keele University. You will be working to increase the skills and knowledge of others to enhance the lives of children and young people with disabilities.

  • To identify and attract suitable families to the CICC workshops through local and national engagement opportunities and suitable schools to the school programme of workshops
  • Research, collate and compile content from local, national and international sources
  • Assist in identifying training needs for families, children and young people living with disabilities and people working in health, social care and education settings and then develop relevant workshops and training sessions
  • Deliver, and support others to deliver, face to face and virtual workshops and training for children and families, children and young people living with disabilities and people working in health, social care and education settings
  • Obtain outcomes and provide accurate reporting of training activities from the workshops and coordinating with the Clinical Team, providing analysis and recommendations
  • In collaboration with Service Delivery Teams work to review, write and develop content appropriate for identified audiences
  • Maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and professionals from other departments within the Charity and with external agencies
  • Contribute to reviewing, revising and formulating policies and procedures and promote their implementation across the Charity

About you

To be successful for the role of Workshop Delivery and Development Manager, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Teaching qualification or coaching/training qualification/experience
  • Good literacy, communication and IT skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of children, young people and families with SEND including autism
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads
  • A positive \’can-do\’ attitude with a flexible approach to work
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role after reasonable adjustments have been made for illness or disability
  • You must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle as the school element of this role is usually delivered on the school premises.

This role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check which child barred lists.
