Due to increased orders, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Turner working on Fanuc CNC lathes to work with a leading high-precision component manufacturing firm in Watford.

About the company

Our client is a long-established engineering company with a reputation for keen prices and on time deliveries. They produce precision machined parts in batches up to tens of thousands and the components they manufacture are used in the Medical, Optical, Aerospace, Air-conditioning, Food, Electronics and Telecommunications industries.

About the role

As CNC Turner, the position will include the following duties:

  • Programming, Setting and Operating Doosan Lynx twin spindle lathes in the manufacture of prototype and small to medium batch components to aerospace standards
  • Working with stainless steel, Brass and aluminium.
  • Liaising with the design, manufacturing and inspection departments
  • Using inspection equipment

About you

The ideal CNC Turner / CNC Setter will have:

  • Proven experience of setting and operating CNC lathes to produce small to medium batch high precision components
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ideally, an engineering apprenticeship, however experience is the overriding factor
  • Sliding head experience which would be an advantage

About the rewards

For the role of CNC Turner / CNC Setter there is on offer:

  • A permanent job working 5 working days per week
  • Hours of Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm
  • Salary £30,000 to £40,000 depending on qualification and experience.
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • 20 days holiday extending to 23 days after a service period, plus
