We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Test Technician to join this leading provider of electronic design and assembly services in Widnes, Cheshire.

With over 70 years of collective experience in areas as diverse as avionics, automotive subsystems, digital video, distributed data acquisition, motor control and smart card development, our client works with their customers at the leading edge of new product development in areas as diverse as scientific research, fire detection, X-ray scanning and medical robotics. They support customers from initial design, prototyping and certification through to volume manufacture, maintenance & repair – in short, the complete product lifecycle.

About the role
As a Test Technician, you will be working in our clients busy product test department and you will be responsible for the test and verification of customer product under the guidance of the Test Team Leader.

Your duties will include:

  • Testing of a wide variety of customer product
  • Maintenance of associated test records
  • Testing of customer returns and generation of repair reports
  • Product configuration
  • Diagnosis of faults on customer product
  • General maintenance duties relating to equipment and the test environment
  • About you
    The role of Test Technician would suit a hands-on person who is keen to develop their skills in the area of electronic product test and you must be / have:

  • A keen eye for detail and an aptitude for delivering ‘right first time’ results against challenging delivery timescales
  • Good general computer skills are essential
  • Demonstrable experience of electronics and associated test equipment (is preferred but is not essential)

    For the role of Test Technician, full training will be given along with the opportunity to obtain relevant qualifications through either internal or external courses and you will receive an excellent salary starting from £23,000 per annum plus:
