Our client is seeking a minibus or private hire driver to conduct school runs in Hillingdon and Ealing.
About the company
With 15 years\’ experience in the transport sector, our client provides coach car and minibus services in and around London. They care deeply about their customers and always strive to make each journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
About the role
The successful driver will either have a PCV license to allow them to drive a minibus or have their own car and a PCO (private hire) license. The driver will take the company minibus home with them each evening so somewhere to park it is essential.
Our client is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and all drivers must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
About you
The successful driver should:

  • Have either their own car and PCO (private hire license), or a PCV license to allow them to drive the company Minibus
  • Have a D1 license and a CPC card (minibus drivers only)
  • Be friendly, approachable and able to get on well with children / young people
  • Hold a full (clean) driving license for at least 3 years.
  • Drive the minibus / car safely, in compliance with highway regulations
  • Be responsible for the health & safety, comfort and welfare of pupils on the journeys
  • Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks the ensure they are roadworthy
  • Refuel vehicles as required and log all receipts
  • Cover for absent colleagues
  • Be able to work to pre-planned schedules and complete any record of work, record of driving and accident reports that may be required by law, the school or the company.
  • About the hours & rewards
    The successful driver will generally work Monday to Friday, 7:30am till 9:30am and 2:30pm to 4:30pm, term time only although there may be opportunities for further work outside of these hours. There is a salary on offer of £14,000 – £26,000 per annum (circa £37,000 – £67,500 pro rata) depending on experience. In addition to this, it would be useful if the driver could also be available to drive students to external sporting and educational events.
