An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated full-time or part-time Receptionist / Patient Services Advisor to join a dedicated multi-disciplinary team in Dorking where you’ll provide high-quality care and excellent customer service.

About the Practice

Our client is a friendly, forward-thinking practice delivering high-quality care to patients within a safe and efficient working environment. Their main surgery is in Dorking, and they have two dispensing branches in Box Hill and Westcott serving a total of 11,300 patients.

About the role

In the role of Receptionist / Patient Services Advisor, you will use your Receptionist experience to:

  • Undertake a wide range of reception duties
  • Act as the central point of contact for patients
  • Provide general support to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Greet and direct patients
  • Effective use of the appointment system
  • Book appointments
  • Process confidential information
  • Assist patients as required
  • Ensure clinical rooms are fully and tidily stocked
  • Ensure the timely and efficient distribution of information
  • Take messages and handle enquiries for the clinical team
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers

About you

To be successful for the role of Receptionist / Patient Services Advisor, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and liaison skills
  • Experience of working in a similar customer-facing environment
  • To ideally have worked in the NHS or a medical field, but training on IT systems will be provided
  • The ability to multi-task
  • A full UK driving licence and transport to travel to other sites when required – essential
  • To be flexible with your hours / days to support the Practice when required

About the hours & rewards

The role of Receptionist / Patient Services Advisor is for 20 - 37.5 hours per week working a day shift, Monday to Friday. There is a salary on offer of £19,553 per annum pro rata for part-time contracts and benefits include:

  • Sick pay
