Exciting News! Porsche Retail Group have an excellent opportunity for a Service Team Manager to work for one of the world’s most iconic brands and join the prestigious Central Operations Division in Reading. This state of art newly refurbished showroom is the first “Destination Porsche” Centre in the UK. The site is also located within walking distance of a local shopping park.

Please note: To be considered for this role, you must have main dealership Service experience at senior level or Workshop Controller experience and hold a full UK driving licence.

About the role

As a Service Team Manager you will effectively manage workshop loading, efficiency, productivity and quality, whilst meeting customer expectations. You’ll lead the Service Technicians and Service Advisors/Executives in the team to ensure that commercial and operational requirements are considered at all times.

Core responsibilities include to:

  • Review the allocation of work booked in and identifying the resources required
  • Supporting and communicating with the Service Advisors/Executives, Workshop and Technicians the day prior to the appointment the workshop plan
  • Ensure work is completed fully to customer requirements in the agreed timescales
  • Holding weekly group review meetings and monthly individual review meetings
  • To be the first point of contact to resolve technical customer issues
  • Ensure full compliance and awareness of manufacturer’s policy regarding recall campaigns
  • Control and manage facilities standards audit controls
  • Manage quality checks on vehicles, including road tests
  • Identify individual team development needs
  • Keep updated with technical and job knowledge and the FCA Compliance and Retail Internal Control System (RICS) requirements
