Porsche Retail Group is expanding our team and have an excellent opportunity for a Parts Advisor to work for one of the world’s most iconic brands and join the prestigious Porsche Centre Guildford . This well-located showroom is about to undergo a major redevelopment. The Porsche Centre is based within the main city area and there are retail parks close by. The dealership offers staff parking and is a 15-minute walk from Guildford main line train station.

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must have recent experience in a Parts Advisor role for an automotive brand.

About the role
As a Parts Advisor, you will effectively interpret, order and supply all customer parts requirements, ensuring that the commercial and operational requirements are met at all times. Responsibilities include:

Customers

  • Treating all customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Ensure that all parts orders are dealt with in the most efficient manner
  • Take personal responsibility for keeping customers informed of order status
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR

Parts

  • Checking the physical availability of parts
  • Ensuring items required by service are pre-picked between 48-72 hours before they are required
  • Communicate on daily basis on parts availability to the Workshop and Front of house
  • Review parts stock held in Work In Progress (WIP) on a daily basis in order to identify ageing or unusual items
  • Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of parts where required
  • Ensure parts records and product information files are kept updated
  • Ensure stock is located and records updated immediately
  • Actively participate in perpetual and or annual stock checks
  • Monitor manufacture KPI’s such as Part Purchases and taking action as appropriate

General

  • Ensure the handling of money is dealt with in a secure manner
  • Maintain high standards of security
  • Provide administrative support to the Parts Supervisor and Aftersales team as required
  • Maintain cost control and maximise full margin
  • Ensure that the department is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers\’ publications etc.

About the hours & rewards
For the role of Parts Advisor, the hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm and one in four Saturdays.

There is a basic salary on offer from £29,960 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus of up to £8,000. You will also receive a fantastic benefits package, including:
