We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer with experience and knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and general building services to join this leading provider of specialist building maintenance services and carry out PPM service and repair works across the London area.

Our client has over 35 years' experience in the industry and are experts in the specialist area of mechanical and electrical maintenance, working with facilities management companies, managing agents and owner occupiers providing innovative and efficient services which are delivered safely, sustainably and professionally. They maintain over 350 sites and have established themselves across a broad range of market sectors including commercial offices, selected retail, education, healthcare and hotels and are now expanding their London Engineering teams.

As a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer, you will provide PPM services and repair works to a client portfolio across the London area and your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors in order to maintain and develop excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • Liaise with internal helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative and successful support function.
  • Attend to call outs during normal working hours and in addition will be part of the out-of-hours emergency call out rota.
  • Organise your work and time efficiently and work supportively within a team.
  • Punctual site attendance, well-presented wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued.
  • Completing and submitting clear, concise and accurate reporting for works carried out and any further work required.
  • Be in regular communications with the Contracts Managers on the relevant job progressions.

The role of Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer requires travel to various sites around London and the South East England area so you must live within commuting distance of this area and must be / have:

  • Sound knowledge of M&E building services.
  • Sound knowledge of HVAC plant i.e. A/C, Boilers, Controls, Heating and cooling systems, ventilation.
  • Good understanding of L8.
  • Understanding of safe working on electrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Intermediate / Advanced PC Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Trained in H&S.
  • Time served mechanical / maintenance engineer (apprenticeship).
  • Minimum City & Guilds in Mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Good organisational skills and self-motivated.
  • The ability to work on your own or as part of a team and make calculated assessments of breakdowns.

  • A competitive salary of Β£36,000 to Β£40,000 per annum depending on experience.
