We have an excellent opportunity for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join this growing and reputable team of technicians to provide IT support to school-based clients based in and around Milton Keynes. This role is mostly on an assigned number of client sites, with occasional work in the Milton Keynes office or from home, so you must live within commuting distance to Milton Keynes.

About the role
As a 2nd Line IT Support Technician, you will have the chance to work with, train and develop your skills in a variety of systems; Windows, Mac, iOS, Windows Server and more - across a variety of devices and platforms; PCs, Macs, iPads, Chromebooks, Android etc with opportunities to learn and develop your skills. This full-time role comes with a relatively high degree of autonomy, with the right candidate able to manage their workload and liaise with our clients daily to help fix, assist, and solve computer related issues. You will be supported by the other technicians in the group and escalate issues when needed, whilst maintaining an approachable and friendly demeanour. An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken before starting this role and your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a friendly service to customers and clients
- Work on client sites with the remote support of IT team
- Be the IT technical support to your assigned clients
- Resolve, advise and assist the client with IT issues that arise
- Carry out the requests and duties as directed by your line manager when needed
- Work alongside existing technicians and further develop your understanding of the role
- Progress projects and assist with migrations at client sites
- Occasionally visit other client sites
- Perform regular maintenance and checks at client sites either in person or remotely
- Help to process the company’s continuing general workload
- Remotely resolve issues using the company’s remote access software to assist customers
- Provide occasional telephone support for all of the group’s clients if required
- Help the company with project work out of term time
About you
To be successful for the role of 2nd Line IT Support Technician having a car and driving license is essential and you must be / have:
Essential Skills/Experience:- 12 months in a support IT environment, ideally 2nd line
- Industry recognised or relevant qualification
- Positive and effective working relationships with clients
- Working in schools or education
- Technical Problem solving and fault finding
- General network troubleshooting
About the rewards
For the role of 2nd Line IT Support Technician, you will work Monday to Friday and receive a salary of £24,000 to £31,000 per annum depending on experience, plus company benefits including:
