We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner and a Site Joiner to join this well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer and installation company in Stockport. We are looking for Joiners with previous experience in refurbishing and installing traditional windows and doors including sash and casement, and an immediate start is available for the right candidates.
About the company:
Our client specialises in traditional timber windows and doors. They manufacture and install bespoke kitchen bedrooms and other cabinetry, operating all over the Northwest on listed buildings and in conservation areas.
About the role:
As an experienced Bench Joiner / Site Joiner you will install new and refurbish all types of traditional timber windows and doors and your responsibilities will include:
- Performing carpentry tasks with the highest quality of craftsmanship in the time allotted.
- Keep informed of the entire project scope including revisions, change orders or changes to the scope of work and the schedule.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the Director, Operations Manager, subcontractors, and clients.
- Responsible for jobsite safety, cleanliness, security and protection from the elements.
- Check the job pack and communicate any discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
- Order construction materials as needed. Inform the Operations Manager of specialty items needed.
- Always act in a manner as to represent the principles of the Company.
- Hold yourself accountable for work performance, actions, and appearance.
- Dress in the provided company uniform.
- The production of projects in accordance with the plans and specifications.
- Maintain a good attitude.
- Be able to problem solve without the direction of superiors.
Essential requirements for the role of Bench Joiner / Site Joiner:
- Have your own tools and PPE.
- A valid CSCS card.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in this field.
