About the role
In the role of Senior Accountant / Client Manager you will be:
- Managing a client portfolio (accounts, corporation tax)
- Acting as a key contact for those clients, delivering on multiple assignments to agreed deadlines independently and alongside the Engagement Partner
- Trusted to manage projects fully and to a specific budget
- Actively seeking opportunities to contribute to the firm’s growth and management
- Assisting the Outsourcing team with reviewing and finalising Financial Accounts, monthly Management Accounts and Vax Returns
- Taking responsibility of your team, providing guidance and development of junior staff
- A portfolio suitable to your current skill set can be planned with a view to development.
About you
Our client is looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm who would like to progress their career who displays unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal and written communication, strong logical and analytical skills. To be successful for the role of Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will need to be highly client focused and a confident communicator and experienced in:
- Managing and leading a team
- Hold an ICAEW or ACCA qualification
- Working within a busy public practice
- Display unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal, and written communication.
- Demonstrable strong logical and analytical skills
- Tax after Brexit
- Knowledge of Iris Accounts Production, and VT & Xero + desirable
- Working on UK GAAP and processing complex matters
- Performing at a high level of efficiency, delivering a range of compliance and consultancy led work including ad hoc projects
- Dealing with companies with a Turnover in excess of £3m and Gross Assets in excess of £2m without supervision
- A general practice background with accounts and corporation tax experience is essential
