Porsche Retail Group are one of the world’s most iconic brands and are seeking a Financial Accountant for this prestigious Head Office in Reading . With an onsite restaurant, coffee bar, parking, walking distance to multiple shops including Ikea, Sainsburys, Boots and a Prue Gym. This role is a 12-month fixed term Contract to cover Maternity Leave. A detailed job specification will be sent to shortlisted candidates.

About the role
As a Financial Accountant, you will represent the Porsche Retail Group Head Office finance function and report directly to the Head of Finance (Group Financial Controller) in Porsche Retail Group. The role will involve:

  • Creating and building an effective network between the PRG Finance functions and the Centre’s Management team
  • Supporting management planning and decision making, by identifying, maintaining and evaluating information and recommending actions
  • Working closely with the Centre Management to develop a strong business relationship with the teams, whilst at all times remaining independent and objective
  • Demonstrating strong commercial awareness, knowledge/understanding of the motor retail business in the UK

  • About you
    To be successful for the role of Financial Accountant, you will have / be:

  • A motivated individual with a desire to succeed who balances a strong accounting background with the ability to provide effective commercial support
  • The understanding of a retail operation and the inherent desire/pressure to achieve retail targets in a competitive environment, balanced against an environment with increased regulation and financial demands both internally and externally
  • Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (preferably gained in a retail sales environment).
  • Candidates if you can demonstrate the required skill levels (“Qualified by Experience”).
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive approach, with a desire to improve the business
  • Able to seek, wherever possible, to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department through optimisation and use of systems
  • The ability to communicate effectively and can adjust your style to suit/fit the audience and the message being delivered, whilst maintaining the ability to get the message across to the audience
