A great opportunity is available for a Finance Manager to join our client, a successful manufacturing company in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Our client offers a competitive salary of £40k-£45k along with a compressed 4 day working week.

About the company
Our client has a long and storied history dating back to the 1930s. They hold global manufacturing and distribution relationships, exporting to 30 countries across 5 continents. They are the largest supplier of solenoids and switches in Europe, specialising in electro-mechanical assembly services and are constantly looking to grow new products and markets. Their vast range of products are recognised for their superior quality and reliability with over a million assemblies built per year. Their mission is to uphold their established reputation for high quality products with first class customer interaction.

About the role
Reporting to the CEO your role as Finance Manager will be to manage the day-to-day running of the Finance department, meeting deadlines and driving improvements for the department and wider business. As a key player within the business, you will work alongside stakeholders, embedding standards and providing financial expertise.

About the responsibilities
To be successful in the role of Finance Manager, you will have the proven ability to manage a Finance Team. The responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly management accounts for 2 companies to deadlines
  • Liaising with external accountants at year-end and audit
  • Annual budget preparation and reporting/re-forecasting throughout the year in line with board meetings
  • Cashflow analysis and cash management
  • Liaising with Senior Management, supporting decision making through the provision of robust numbers
  • Improving systems and processes within finance to increase efficiency and add value to the wider business
  • Product costing evaluation / interpretation
  • Liaising with 3rd parties for insurance / utility quotes and renewal process
  • About you
    The successful Finance Manager will have / be:

  • Strong and proven financial management background
  • CIMA qualified
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commercially minded
  • Problem solver with a solution orientated approach
