We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join our clients’ expanding team of production operatives, fabricating stainless steel products to the highest standards. This role is offering an excellent salary of £25,000- £31,000 per annum plus benefits.

About the role:

The role of Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator involves working within a passionate team responsible for fabrication and welding of stainless-steel components, working in an environment of continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Successfully achieving the daily planned production schedule
  • Maintaining and striving to improve production quality
  • Contributing to the smooth operation of the workshop

About you:

The ideal candidate for the role of Sheet Metal Worker/ Fabricator will be able to listen/learn and use your own initiative to become a valued member of this friendly and close-knit team. You must have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience with a background in fabrication and welding, along with good general engineering skills
  • Knowledge of Mig/Tig welding would be advantageous
  • A good understanding and knowledge of fabrication and sheet metal working techniques and tools
  • The ability to fabricate and work from engineering drawings (or occasionally without proper drawings)
  • Experience of manufacturing components from sheet metal
  • The ability to work under your own initiative and with minimal supervision to achieve tight deadlines and high quality
