About the Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is an intrinsic part of the community at this Polo Club and is primarily a facility for Members, Players and their Guests but also serves as a venue for private parties and small events across the year. There is a range of offerings and services that add to the sense of exclusivity from membership.
About the role
As Clubhouse Manager you will develop this environment, providing and building on existing services to create a successful, profitable and exclusive asset to the Club whilst being an entirely self-sufficient department. Responsibilities include:
- Creating a self-sufficient Department with the ability to run day to day operations, financials, staff hiring and training with minimal input from other Departments of the Club.
- Keeping and developing a respectable and luxury environment for Members, Players and Guests.
- Gaining the support and trust of Members, Players and Guests emphasising on the personal touch.
- Achieving the right balance of profitability without compromising the image or environment of the establishment.
- Providing beverage and basic food service.
- Ordering and managing of stock with fortnightly stock checks reported to the accountant.
- Ensuring that bar bills and tabs are paid on the day they are incurred with Members asked to top-up levy accounts.
- Daily cashing up of cash draws and card terminals, using the provided safe whilst leaving an appropriate float.
- Maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the bar area, checking that furniture, facilities and lavatories are in good standing.
- Coordination of Clubhouse events including the hiring and training of any additional staff, ensuring the event is as profitable.
- Promoting Events and Opportunities to Members.
- Being presentable at all times and ensuring staff follow company clothing guidelines.

About the hours & rewards
The Clubhouse hours are:
- Monday - Closed
- Tuesday - Open Subject to Polo Timings (Closed after a Bank Holiday Monday)
- Friday 4pm to 10pm*
- Saturday & Sunday 1pm - 10pm*
- Bank Holiday Monday 1pm - 10pm*
**Please note, when Members and Guests wish to enjoy the Clubhouse after the 10pm closing time it will remain open until last orders at 11.40pm. If, prior to last orders, the clubhouse is vacated it will then be closed.
For the role of Clubhouse Manager there is a salary on offer of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum, plus Performance Bonus.
