We have an exciting opportunity for a Social and Events Organiser to join our clients’ team in Cardiff and Swansea. This is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home, from the office in Cardiff and also at regular events in the two areas. Please note that this position can be a joint role or split. The whole role covers Cardiff and Swansea working 110 hours per month with a mix of working from home, at the office in Cardiff and at events in the two areas. If split, the role will be 60 hours per month in Cardiff and 50 hours per month in Swansea so you must live within commuting distance to Cardiff or Swansea to be considered.

Our client is one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK and their aim is to improve the quality of life for their members through active social involvement, care support and a range of financial products to their members in the area. There are 136 Branches nationwide who are supported by a central office in Manchester.

About the role

This is a hybrid working position and as a Social and Events Organiser, you will help and support the Society to deliver the social elements to its target market, which is predominantly 50+, to co-ordinate, organise, administrate and develop social events to attract potential and existing members within the South Wales District. As a Social and Events Organiser, you will focus on implementing and increasing social events and developing memberships and your duties will include:

  • Developing social activities to increase membership
  • Promoting events in the local area
  • Developing active involvement of members
  • Building relationships with the local community
  • Working with and supporting both current and new social volunteers

About the Hours & Rewards

For the role of Social and Events Officer, you must live within commuting distance to Cardiff and Swansea and you will receive a salary of up to £13 per hour dependant on experience.
