We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a large residential building in Coventry city centre. The property primarily accommodates long‑stay students, with a proportion of short‑term/short‑let stays. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong organisational, customer service, and operational management skills to ensure a high standard of service delivery and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operation of the accommodation site, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day running
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, handling enquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally
  • Oversee lettings, move‑ins, move‑outs, and tenancy management processes
  • Manage rent collection, arrears, and liaise with relevant teams where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory regulations
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors and internal teams
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and communal areas
  • Manage and support staff (cleaning, security, and contractors)
  • Manage short‑let operations, including bookings, check‑ins, and guest experience
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting (occupancy, compliance, incidents, etc.)
  • Support marketing and occupancy strategies where required

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Occasional on‑call duties
  • Some out‑of‑hours and weekend working required during peak periods

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in property management, student accommodation, or residential lettings
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with rent collection and tenancy administration
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations within residential properties
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and property management systems
